The Board of Education recognized students from Washington Intermediate School's PEAK Program for receiving the Presidential Environmental Youth Award! (PEYA) Students created a service learning project called "Cans for TAPS," demonstrating how young people can make a meaningful impact on both their community and the environment. Congratulations!

The extraordinarily student-focused team at Jefferson spent two days together collaborating, calibrating, and caffeinating as they learned more about "Teaching Reading Across the Day." And it's not even summer yet, technically. Way to go, Jefferson!
Summer learning continues for our teachers and administrators! Today and tomorrow, they are attending the annual District Summer Institute, focusing on "Teaching Reading Across the Day." It's another example of the adults in our district exemplifying the "lifelong learner" attribute!

May 27 is the last day of school for K-8 students, and there will be early dismissal. PFEC's last day is May 26.
