My name is Luke Arnsman and this will be my sixth year as principal at Jefferson Primary School. I am proud to be a part of the Jefferson school community and welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. It is my honor to work with such a dedicated staff and community to provide an excellent education to all students.

This will be my 21st year as an educator and 13th with District 108. I completed my undergraduate work at Western Illinois University in 2004 and my graduate work in 2009 from Western Illinois University. I started my career in Washington, Illinois where I taught language arts and coached basketball for eight years. Prior to my principalship at Jefferson, I worked for seven years as an assistant principal at Broadmoor Junior High School and Wilson Intermediate School.  

I am married with three fantastic kids and am fortunate to call Pekin home.  My wife is a speech therapist in the East Peoria School District and our children keep us busy with their various activities outside of school. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, coaching youth sports, and being outdoors.  

I look forward to helping each of our students achieve their goals and reach their dreams.  Once A Hawk...Always A Hawk!
