Thank you for visiting Wilson’s website! My name is Josh Norman, and this will be my 10th year as principal at Wilson Intermediate School. I was born and raised in Pekin graduating from Pekin High School in 1995. I graduated in 1999 from North Central College with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, with an emphasis in secondary education. My other degrees include a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Technology from the University of Illinois and my Administration degree from Bradley University.
I have been in the district for 25 years. I started my career as a social studies teacher at Edison Junior High. For eight years I taught social studies and coached basketball and track. After my teaching career at Edison, I have spent four years as the assistant principal at Washington Intermediate School. In 2010, I was promoted to principal at Scott Altman Primary School, in which I served as principal for four years. This year will be my 10th year as the principal of Wilson.
I am married and have two daughters and one son. My family comes from a long line of educators with my mother, brother, uncle and cousin either working or retired from District 108. I want to share with each of you how fortunate and proud I feel to be the principal of Wilson. I love working with Wilson School’s learning community to create a welcoming, safe, and engaging learning environment where all our students can reach their maximum potential. I look forward to meeting and building collaborative relationships with all the Wilson families!
