PFEC does not suspend or expel students for challenging behaviors.  PFEC will take the following steps to ensure success for students who are struggling with challenging behaviors:

• Utilize a Multi-Tiered System of Support.

• Observations, documentation and/or data collection.

• Communicate with and involve the family.

• Develop a plan for addressing challenging behaviors.

• If behaviors continue, involve special education service team.  School Staff and family may consider a referral. 

• Provide additional supports and/or alternate placement as determined necessary by a team made up of school staff and parents.
