Prenatal to Three Program
FREE PROGRAM
(Must live in the Pekin District 108 boundaries)
Who We Serve:
Families with children prenatal to 3 years old
Families must meet the state’s guidelines as determined through a screening process.
Some criteria are as follows:
Low-income families
Homeless families
Families in which English is not the primary language
Teen parent(s) and parent(s) who have not completed high school
Children with a potential developmental delay
Foster families
Families living without a support system
What We Do:
Free personal home visits – bi-weekly
Build and develop family’s strengths and goals
Ages and Stages developmental screenings for children
Friendly parent groups to meet and socialize with other parents
Connections to resources and other agencies in the area
Special family events throughout the year
Play groups to encourage peer social interaction
Toy and Book Lending Library
Research based Baby Talk curriculum for children prenatal to 3 years old
Educational activities
Spanish speaking Family Educator available
The Preschool Family Education Center is a school dedicated to the education of young children through developmentally appropriate practices, family partnerships and community involvement.
*The Prenatal to Three Program is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education Prevention Initiative Grant.
